Two-week courses

Online Insights are two-week online courses that take place in winter, spring and summer holidays, with a maximum of ten students per class. It brings all the fun of a summer programme from the comfort of your own home.

Online Insights brings our summer school to a virtual platform so that students from around the world can take part. This programme will lead students through an unparalleled educational experience. Participants will focus on advanced content and develop both the expertise and enthusiasm to plan for an academic future with confidence. Students receive a combination of subject-based tuition, one-to-one tutorials, future skills workshops and social activities with students from around the world.


Subjects Available

Online Insights is designed to emulate the experience of academic seminars in a university environment. Aside from daily contact with their tutors, participants will also meet current undergraduates at Cambridge University during activities, learn from visiting expert guest speakers, and engage in interactive skills-based workshops.

What’s Included in Online Insights

45 hours of academic contact time:

  • 20 hours of subject based seminars (10 x 2 hours)
  • 2 hours of 1:1 tutorials (4 x 30 minutes)
  • 15 hours of future skills workshops (10 x 1.5 hours)
  • 2 hours of course overviews (2 x 1 hour)
  • 2 hours of guest lectures (2 x 1 hour)
  • 4 hours of optional “drop-in” sessions (4 x 1 hour)

In addition to tuition, students also receive:

  • Pre-course learning materials
  • Daily social activities with other students from around the world
  • Award-winning virtual learning platform
  • Certificate of attendance and detailed report card
  • Access to digital materials after completion

Two-week Programme

The fees for the Online Insights are £2,295 for two weeks ($2,980 for US students), inclusive of up to 45 hours of academic content time, as well as social activities, a pre-course welcome pack and access to post-course materials.
