Tutor Spotlight: Jane Shilling

Campus Oxford - Jane Shilling MA Hons (Oxon)Great British Poetry (Cambridge)

Jane Shilling read English Language and Literature at Oxford University, where she wrote for the University newspaper, Cherwell. After graduating she worked for ten years in publishing before joining the Arts desk of the Daily Telegraph.

She was a columnist on the London Times for 12 years and now writes on books, theatre and the Arts for the Daily Telegraph, Prospect, Intelligent Life, the New Statesman, the Daily Mail and the London Evening Standard.

She has published two non-fiction books: The Fox in the Cupboard (Viking Penguin, 2004) and The Stranger in the Mirror (Chatto & Windus, 2011). The Stranger in the Mirror has been translated into Italian, Swedish and Mandarin. Jane will also lead the Creative Writing workshops at Magdalene College.
